People’s Choice sets the Shawnee Great Grillers State Championship Barbeque apart from the rest. This unique contest allows the people to pick their favorite brisket!

HyVeeTeams that choose to participate will receive a brisket, courtesy of HyVee during check-in. Each team has a chance to “WOW” judges (and here’s the kicker, the judging panel is the general public)!

Teams prepare the brisket in an assortment of taste tantalizing styles. Judges will sample and vote for their favorite brisket Saturday at 12:00 noon.
Judging fee: $5.00 (all the brisket you can eat)

WilliamsThanks to Williams Foods, World Wide Wings are back! This year teams will have the opportunity to find out who is CHICKEN and who is not during our 4th Annual “Are You Chicken” portion of our Shawnee Great Grillers competition.

There are three categories that each team will want to master…Hot (but tasty), BBQ, and Open (or free style). The competition will be monitored by the sanctioned World Wide Wings Association. Teams will turn in their wings on Friday September 26th and will get their results during the winners ceremony on September 27th.
